How to prepare for a session

-
Wear comfortable clothes
-
Have a water bottle to hydrate yourself
-
No need for special shoes, we will dance barefoot
-
The movements and exercises offered can be adapted to your condition
-
It is interesting to mention that during the movement activities, participants are asked to keep quiet and leave room for communication through gestures, looks and smiles.
-
Be open to having a joyful experience!

You should plan for a session lasting between 1.5 and 2 hours.

A Biodanza session is generally divided into four stages:
-
Welcome: The facilitator welcomes you.
-
Group Sharing: The facilitator opens a space for discussion. This is a time dedicated to sharing feelings and experiences of the practice and our current emotions. There is no obligation to speak; at this time, participants are ready to listen.
-
Introduction: The facilitator introduces the theme of the session.
-
Movement Activities: Guided by the facilitator, participants explore different types of movements and exercises to music either in groups, in pairs and/or individually. The session follows a four-step organic physiological curve: Vitalization, harmonization, regression/rest and a mini vitalization for returning home.
